Today we went and bought Iryna new sunglasses and a new pair of shoes. The shoes she has at the orphanage are way too tight and don't even zip up any more. We got her new glasses because each day she wants to wear mine and keeps asking us to get her a pair. When we got there today, I took out the bag and she saw the shoes right away. She immediately took off her shoes and grabbed the ones out of my hands and put them on. I have never seen a kid get so excited over shoes before. She loved the glasses as well and wore them all around. She asked to keep them there and we allowed her to, I hope she keeps them safe. Later I am going to make a FAQ post to answer a bunch of questions people have been asking about Iryna and our experience. Hope you enjoy! (We tried to upload pictures but its not working. Court Date Revealed!
We don't have the best news about our court date but it's also not horrible. Our court date will be next Thursday, September 15th. We were trying really hard to get Monday but the judge already had a full schedule that day. Tuesday and Wednesday really doesn't matter because we have to wait 10 days before we can do anything after the court date. If court is on Tuesday or Wednesday, the 11th day will fall on a Saturday or Sunday which will not allow us to do anything so Thursday will be fine. This should be putting us back in the US during the weekend of October 1st, just in time for Ethan's birthday! He has been asking us each night when we are coming home so we can celebrate his birthday. Before we left, we told him we will be back when it’s his Birthday so he thinks that if we come home now, he can have his birthday!! We really miss our boys so much. Ethan has been so sweet on the phone and my mom has been awesome about reading the blog to him each night so he will talk to us about it. He sees the pictures of us with her so he thinks we can just jump on a plane and leave now with her. Little does he know the process this all takes. Logan just talks to us for about a minute or so and then he is off to play with his Papaw. He is in heaven living with his favorite person in life! Skyping has been the best thing ever, to see their face means everything to me.
